ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN KALIMAT MINOR DALAM NOVEL SENDIRI KARYA TERE LIYE (KAJIAN SINTAKSIS)

Language is the primary way for humans to communicate,
as seen in social interactions where language is the primary tool for
communicating. Syntax is the study of the arrangement of words in
sentences.In the field of linguistics, syntax studies how words relate
to the larger units that make up sentences. This research aims to
describe the form of minor sentences in the novel Sendiri by Tere
Liye and describe the types of minor sentences in the novel Sendiri
by Tere Liye.
This research method uses Sugiyono's theory. The research
approach uses library research with qualitative approach. The data
studied in this research are the forms and types of minor sentences.
Primary and secondary data sources come from dialog or
conversations in the novel Sendiri by Tere Liye. The data collection
technique uses the listening method and note-taking technique.
Data validity uses the tringulation method of source, method,
theory. Data analysis techniques are qualitative including data
collection, data reduction, data presentation, data conclusion.
The results of this research are related to the forms and
types of minor sentences. The forms and types of minor sentences
found in this study are structured minor sentences and
unstructured minor sentences. Structured minor sentences include:
Elliptical minor sentences consist of 12 data, Sequence minor
sentences consist of 20 data, Marginal minor sentences consist of 1
data and unstructured minor sentences include: Calling minor
sentence consists of 9 data, Exclamation minor sentence consists of
47 data, Title minor sentence (-) is not found, Motto minor sentence
consists of 1 data, Greeting minor sentence consists of 18 data.
